Yacht racing photography - Close running

For something a little different, as most photographers can imagine if they have not done so, getting up close and personal with racing yachts is a great way to spend a couple of hours. Lots of color, plenty of action and super to photograph. The skipper on the press boat really got us in the action and I had a thrilling time trying to capture the energy of these large and very fast moving yachts.

Sunset photos - Majestic Palm Trees. Standing like sentries to time itself tall coconut palm trees stand silently at dusk. Once the lifeblood of the Island, these majestic giants are slowly but steadily falling to bulldozers and what society calls advancement, but real people know better. Sunset photos of private houses and guest apartment buildings just do not have the same appeal to me.

Rain Tree (Samanea saman) of Trinidad & Tobago. Native to tropical America the Raintree is a large deciduous tree that can grow up to 40 m often with a wide  umbrella shaped spread if little competition exists.  The tree sheds it's leaves at the onset of dry season (Nov - Jan) blooms are attractive pink and white filaments.
