Okay, so it's not everyday you get to disturb someone in the middle of a take away in a mangrove woodland, worse still when you close in for a macro photo, most bad mannered of me, but in my defense the dragonfly did not move until the camera lens - with my big head behind it - was just a few inches away. Iguana - Lizards of Tobago - Wildlife photography. Sometimes you get a little lucky, as I did here when I came across this Iguana fairly low in tree branches as I walked around in a small mangrove. He had obviously been shedding skin as the front foot shows, and was still catching itself as I stumbled upon it, being generous enough to allow me to get a shot off before taking itself off to safer heights with some speed.

Hanging out as far as I could over the railing to catch the angle of pets Rosie-May & Buster watching out of an upstairs balcony. This photo captures their personalities well as Buster (the white nose in the background) is somewhat a gentleman, while Rosie-May has more of a boisterous nature.

It is capturing moments like this that encourage me to keep on picking up the camera. A natural shot, straight from the camera, as most of my photos are, I caught sight of Chum sitting quietly in the morning sun in the garden, the bright rays that caught him allowed me to use f8 at 50 iso (the cameras maximums) effectively blanking out the shadowed background. Native to tropical America the Raintree is a large deciduous tree that can grow up to 40 m often with a wide  umbrella shaped spread if little competition exists.  The tree sheds it's leaves at the onset of dry season (Nov - Jan) blooms are attractive pink and white filaments.
